As anyone who’s ever taken a puck to the forehead knows, hockey moves fast. So how does one capture the heart-pounding pace of a professional sport like hockey? For me, it’s by loving the game, working my butt off and taking lots and lots of pictures.
As you can see by these photos, my love of the game has been rewarded. For years, I was the web photographer for the NHL’s Minnesota Wild. As a result of this assignment, I was also asked to shoot product and players for Mission, a hockey gear company. I also had the honor of shooting Olympic Gold Medalist, Tricia Dunn-Luoma. She was so happy with my work she even asked me to shoot her wedding. Talk about a vote of confidence!
Aside from professional hockey, I would gladly take my shot at some of the other slower-moving professional sports…like soccer. Or football. Or, if things really get slow, baseball.
