I just had one of those “duh” moments. I was so gung ho to join groups on Flickr to get my images seen by more people that I didn’t read the fine print on one of them, the Nikon Digital Learning Center group. Once I did I quickly got out!

I know we all have seen the decline of the size of things we buy over the years… like the bags of cookies or chips that when you open are only half full and the response is “things tend to settle in transit” or the one I like is “our consumer testing has shown that our customers prefer a smaller amount of goods due to health reasons” or some such nonsense.

I posted a new set of images on my Flickr page from a recent family mini vacation up the north shore to Split Rock Lighthouse here in Minnesota. I took my Nikon D50 that was converted to shoot only Infrared since my point and shoot was in the shop for repairs, and boy was that the right choice!
