I just love that tag for the clan of Palins, now returning home to Alaska to do their best to get back into the groove of 4 wheel drive trucks and fur lined thongs. One has to wonder if the brief taste of life down in the lower 48 has taken hold and given them the glimmer of “what could be”?

I’m sure anyone that has come this close to the land of milk and money (D.C.) has to have some lasting hangover and dreams of what might have been. While the American people have spoken and made their choice for the next four years, others in the far north reaches of our land are starting to plan for the day they might swap their engine heater and snow tires for a convertible and weekly bikini waxes!

Just a quick post with a link to Newsweek’s Secrets of the 2008 Campaign sure to cram all the “real world” behind the scene dirt that all those republican aids can now spit out to the waiting world.

Rest assured, just as is our right in this country, someone will make a buck or two out of some sort of tale of the road that McCain and Palin were on these last months. A book or two, maybe a reality show for another and for sure a Playboy shoot… “Aids in a losing cause” or some such nonsense.

The real question in all of this will be do Americans care anymore who Sarah Palin is and what she does or doesn’t do, other than Alaskans? Only time will tell.
So, go read the article and stop back as they update the chapters… maybe I will bump into you!

Ok, I know some of you out there are going “Orleans, that cheesy band from the 70′s?”  Well, say what you will, but from a guy that admitted to liking disco back in the day, Orleans is just another gem from my past that still delivers years later.

UPDATE: I saw it for this price on Sunday, Dec. 7th in St. Louis Park.  Could $1.00 cheaper gas happen since this original post?

UPDATE: I just filled up on Saturday for this price in Bloomington. Almost a full dollar in a few months. I know it won’t last, but I sure like what I see.

UPDATE: Closer to almost a dollar cheaper then when I posted this first.

UPDATE: Look at this, down .40 in 14 days! Somebody pinch me cuz this has to be a dream.

UPDATE: Look at this, down .20 in 7 days! I don’t know what is going on but I sure like this trend.

Ok, I hate to get excited about gas over $2 a gallon, but come on.  We have been getting sucked dry by the big wig oil executives for so long this seems like a huge deal.

I know it won’t last, and soon we will be complaining about $3.49 a gallon prices again, but I just had to get something down in the books… THIS HAS TO STOP.

There, I don’t know about you but I feel better already.  Makes me almost feel good for all those schmucks driving Hummers… NOT!

I’ve noticed, for quite a while now, search hits on my website coming from a server or site in Bluefield WV, and they aren’t normal looking.  Take a look below.

So there I am, surfing around looking at the latest Olympic feed info and come across a video feed from TSN that is supposed to be talking about the “heat in Beijing and at home as the medal drought continues…”, but when I click on the link it says something that I would expect from another nation, not Canada.

I know we all have seen the decline of the size of things we buy over the years… like the bags of cookies or chips that when you open are only half full and the response is “things tend to settle in transit” or the one I like is “our consumer testing has shown that our customers prefer a smaller amount of goods due to health reasons” or some such nonsense.

Day one is in the bag at another Thunder Lizard production.  This makes my third web conference and this one seems to be the best… maybe because it is in my backyard being in Chicago, who knows.  But one thing I can tell you, the food has been fantastic.
